IMPORTANT: Audio File Storage

There are several ways to do this:

In this new age of digital recording, audio file and session file, backup storage has become a major issue for studios and clients. Due to this, Virtue Studio’s & Productions cc will not, and cannot guarantee the safe and or storage of these files. It is necessary for every client to provide for digital audio file storage. There are several ways to do this:

A.1. Purchase a rental hard drive from Virtue Studio's & Productions cc and request that we transfer your audio and session files to the rental drive.

B.2. Bring your own Mac or PC machine to Virtue Studio’s & Productions cc, or a compatible drive to the session and request for such audio and or file transfer(s).

C.3. Purchase blank compact discs from Virtue Studio’s & Productions cc and request such files is transferred to them. If a client plans to work on his or her project, for extended periods, this would be especially valid whereby a project would run into extended amount of time on a project.

D.4. We advise you to then take your hard drive(s) or DVD compact discs with you upon departure from the Studio’s only on non-rental storage media.

E.5. You may leave the above items at Virtue Studio’s & Productions cc at your own risk and peril if you choose to do so. Ownership on rental hard drive storage medium shall not pass on to the client, or work in progress. Thither more ones off rental free paid by the client for such storage hard drive medium only act as a rental fee for the remainder of the recording project. The client hereby waver any rights or ownership either expresses or implied of such storage medium, payable by client. In the event of an annulment, client either expresses or implied of such storage medium would still be reasonable for such rental fees.

F.1 Clients will have no claim on any of the Pro Tools files or any session data, except a master stereo track and master CD and or DVD, for what so ever purposes. The client hereby waver any rights or ownership either expresses or implied of such Pro Tools files or any session data and or storage medium, payable by client.

Recordings or recorded materials are covered by Copyright laws.

G.1. If for whatsoever reason the client does not obtain a clearance certificate from Sarral, Norm and or Virtue Studio’s & Productions cc, for recordings or recorded materials which maybe be convened by Copyright laws, to be used for, non-trading and or private use and or demo purposes whatsoever but not limited, The client(s) hereby upon signing of this agreement wavier all liabilities which may pass to Virtue studio’s & Productions cc, for reasons of which the intended use would be for non-resell or any non-trading purposes which may be convened by Copyright laws, for all recordings and or recording materials will pass to the client agreed upon in this agreement for liabilities that may arise. G.2 Copyright clearance for all CD/DVD’s audio and or video work must obtained from SARRAL and NORM, and a copy of this clearance submitted to Virtue Studio’s & Productions cc, before commencing of recording or session. Failure to make the above arrangements will result in possible audio and session files being unavailable for use. Virtue Studio’s & Productions cc assumes no responsibility and makes no representations either expresses or implied regarding safety and replacement of any hard drives, master or other audio files or sessions, or any type of recording files or media.
